19ParkAveImageThe Mayfair Apartment campus includes eight two story buildings with 74 apartments — 6 studios, 60 one bedrooms and 8 two bedrooms. They come with fully equipped kitchens and Energy Star rated appliances. The studios are +/‐435 sq. ft, the one bedrooms range in size from 629‐692 sq. ft; the two bedrooms, 805‐898 sq. ft, All have cable hook‐ups. No fee parking is available. Amenities include a community room with computer workspace, exercise and office space, and a laundry center. Five (5) of the apartments are fully accessible for persons with a mobility impairment; three (3) are fully accessible for persons with a hearing or vision impairment. Twenty (20) apartments are set aside for elderly with special needs.

Mayfair Apartments is located in the Town of Greenburgh in central Westchester County approximately 28 miles north of Grand Central Station in Manhattan. The Town is bordered by the City of Yonkers to the south, Town of Mount Pleasant to the north, and City of White Plains and Village of Scarsdale to the east. Its western boundary is the Hudson River.

Mayfair Apartments are located off of Knollwood Road at the entrance road to Westchester Community College.

There are five commuter rail stops on Metro‐North’s lines, four on the Hudson line in Irvington, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings‐on‐Hudson and Tarrytown and one on the Harlem line in Hartsdale. The Town is also served by Westchester Bee‐Line with easy access to the White Plains Transit Center. There is car access to the Sprain Brook Parkway with connections to the Taconic State Parkway, I‐287 and the Cross County Parkway.

Shopping areas close to Mayfair Apartments include the Crossroads Shopping Center on Tarrytown Road and the Galleria, City Center and The Westchester in White Plains. An ACME supermarket is located on Knollwood Road. The Westchester Medical Center with the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital is within four miles of the site.

The Town of Greenburgh Parks & Recreation operates programs at the Multipurpose Center, including the Greenburgh Nutrition Program, Home Delivered Meals Program and Senior Transportation. The Multipurpose Center is located in the Anthony F. Veteran Park at 11 Olympic Lane in Hartsdale.

There is also an outdoor pool in the park. The Theodore D. Young Community Center offers a year round aquatic program and a variety of educational, cultural, recreational and social programs. Seniors can attend courses at Westchester Community College. The Greenburgh Public Library and the Greenburgh Nature Center are close by.

The Hart’s Brook Park & Preserve contains 3.2 miles of wooded walking paths with a variety of native flora and fauna with streams and ponds. Regeneron, a major pharmaceutical firm has its headquarters in the Town. The New York Medical College is also located in Greenburgh.

Eligibility Requirements: In order to qualify for this homeownership unit, the household income must be at or below 80 percent of the area median income (AMI) for Westchester County and this must be the primary residence of the homebuyer. See HUD Income Guidelines.
